Don, a certified Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Upper Canada, is widely recognized as one of Canada's foremost competition law practitioners.
A highly experienced litigator at both trial and appellate levels and before a wide range of specialized tribunals, Don has acted as counsel in many notable competition law and trade practice cases, as well as estate, environmental and product liability litigation. He is co-author of Canadian Competition Law, a widely-recognized and often referred to two volume loose-leaf service on the competition law of Canada, first published in 1988.
Highlights
- Arbitrator on the softwood lumber anti-dumping case under NAFTA.
- Counsel to the standing committee of the House of Commons on Finance, Trade and Economic Affairs during consideration of extensive amendments to federal Competition and Banking legislation, in the 1970s.
