Kenneth Dekker, a Partner of the firm, is engaged in Commercial and Civil Litigation. Ken’s areas of interest include shareholder disputes, securities litigation, defamation, contractual disputes, injunctions, and cross-border litigation such as the enforcement of foreign judgments and foreign letters of request.
Ken obtained his B.A. with Honours from the University of King 's College in Halifax , Nova Scotia in 1992, his LL.B. from Dalhousie University , Nova Scotia in 1996 and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1998. Following his call to the Bar, Ken worked briefly as a legal researcher with the Commission of Inquiry on Proceedings involving Guy Paul Morin.
Ken has acted as trial and appellate counsel before all levels of courts in Ontario , including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario , and the Supreme Court of Canada.
